History
Creative Artist's was formed in 1970 by 45 artists under the leadership of Edwin J. Burns, a Cedar Rapids art instructor.

The purpose was to have an organization to promote their artwork locally. Their first exhibit was at the Social Security office and at Collins Radio.

In 1973 the fine art event of "Art on the Fence" was added and held on the Brucemore Mansion grounds. Because of the winds and weather, the spring Show moved indoors in the future years.

Since 2012 Creative Artists has held a major art show - either Spring or Fall. The home page will show the details.
