Creative Artists are a group dedicated to broadening interests and skills in the arts.
The purpose of the club is to foster interest and cultural growth of the members and public through programs, workshops and exhibits.
Creative Artists’ talents cover a wide range of medium: watercolor, oil, acrylics, pastels, pencil, photography-35mm & digital, collages and other two-dimensional art.
Educational Advantages

   a wide varieties of mediums and styles

Creative Artists was formed in 1970 by 45 artists under the leadership
Of Edwin J Burns, a Cedar Rapids art instructor.

The purpose was to have an organization to promote their artwork
Locally.  Their first exhibits were at the Social Security office and
Collins Radio.

In 1973 the fine arts event of “Art on the Fence Art Show” was added
And held on the Brucemore Mansion grounds.  Because of wind and
weather, the Spring Show moved indoors in future years.

In 2012 Creative Artists had the first Great Autumn Art Show and Sale.
